5 minute with the legend. 5 minutes of my life gives me a memory for my life time

In the book launching ceremony of “FASANA RAQAM KAREN” written by Mujahid Barelvi, I had an opportunity to have a glimpse of Fatima Suriya bajiya. She is among those 5 personalities of the world whom I want to meet in my life.

When I saw her, I really wanted to go at once and meet her and do some chit chat with her on journalism and on urdu language. But as she is the legend so I cant find any way out at that moment to go and meet her. So I just sat quietly and enjoyed the rest of the event.

There were several great speakers in the event who portrayed the writer in different ways. Thing to remember that my target is still Ms.Fatima Suriya. What to do! How to go and meet her? Several great personalities are with her would she like to meet me or not?

These were the question coming out from my mind. But, then I said to me that she is the whom you want to meet , so get up and go to her. But, still I remain on my seat.


As soon as host announced the closing of the event I went to the author and get the autographed copy of FASAN RAQAM KAREN. After getting an autograph from him , I saw Ms.Bajiya sitting alone and there was no one around him. Huh! What a great chance for me it was. Just think for a minute if the person whom you want to meet in your life . sitting in front of you , idle, and jus for a walk of 0.01 mili second. Wont it be a great feeling?

(We had a conversation in urdu ..m translating it in English)
I just at once go to her and say Assalmo Alikum.

Me: I am the student of MBA, just started writing on Economic affairs of the country
She: May God bless You.
Me: (DIRECTLY) Don’t you think people in the country these days are not giving respect to URDU language
She: Yes, I agree, But after attending such gatherings I feel like our nation still respect urdu.
Me: I am talking about the young generation
She: Yes, they are not respecting. I pity on them. But , on the other hand Nauman (she remembers my name) they are not properly awared about our language now. In their school days they have been ask to emphasized on western language rather than to make their focus on Urdu Language. But those who start focusing properly on urdu language, read urdu poetry, try to understand those poetry ….(BREAK) ..still respects our language and they are the pride for the language.

This is a memorable day of my life and I met a lady whom I want to meet in my life.

270710 A Rainy Day

Huh! What a rainy day. The rain starts on the eve of 26th july 2010 and have a break in the noon of 27th July. In the eve of 26th I was returning from my university when the rain starts. It started up with drizzling but it was soon followed by the heavy rainfall in jus 10 minutes. What to do? What not to do?How to do that what we wanted to do? These were the several questions coming up in our mind as we were in a car and the wipers attached in the car were not in a working condition. We switched off the chiller of the car and decided to open up the windows.

We reached in the area of 13-d by this time. As soon as I opened up the window the heavy rainfall didn’t took a second to make us wet. The street children were diving in the water and try to swim in that water. They look so happy and cheerful and enjoying the heavy rain in the city after the long time. These were the moments of which they waited for the year long.




As we move further I witness around 70 bikes standing by the foothpath along with the bike riders ,who were waiting for the rain to stop so they can move forward towards their home. Those bike riders were standing keeping their one hand their bikes and other hand on their waist. They were also engage themselves in packing up their wallets and cell phones into the plastic paper bags so there valubales won’t get affected.

Moving towards the area of Block-2 Gulshan-e-Iqbal there was a crowd of people standing outside the bakery waiting to purchase some Pakoras , Samosas, Jalebi for themselves and their family. People use to buy these things more in rainy season . So at around 7 ‘o clock crowd was buying the tea items.

Oh! What is this? Asked by my driver, Sarwar. What sarwar? I replied. It seems like Isha prayer time now at 7:10.Even then the people waiting for Maghrib Prayers. The sky has been taken over by the dark black clouds. A dark black clouds and a heavy rainfall create a lot of difficulty for the driver to drive a car that is without the wipers. I use to cheer up the driver by putting the cassette in the player so then he will be in better mood for the rest of the drive.



I forget to mention my dressing at that time. I was in a dress shirt with a Suit pant and having a tie on my shirt. As I had been from a formal session from my university. So my dressing was much inappropriate at that time according to the situation. And I was jealous by the children playing in the water in half clothes. But , I can’t do anything rather than just to observe them and then pen down those observations.

After crossing the pull of Gulshan chowrangi , we moved straight towards the disco bakery Gulshan as I live there. An unbelievable crowd had been witnessed by me at this area . The people were sitting in their vehicles waiting for their food orders to be delivered there from the local food outlets of Rolls, GolGappay, Shakes, Faluda etc.

After such a long trip of 1 hour and 30 min I stepped into my home having wet clothes and dirty boots and having a coat in my hand. It was a tiring but one of the adventurous trip and I thanked to GOD that I didn’t stuck in any traffic jams otherwise I am sure that my this trip would easily be then of 5 to 6 hours.

Usually the karachittes celebrates the rainy day by exercising such kind of activites . And I am sure that in other part of Karachi people were having same kind of routine on 26th and 27th. What a day!

ISLAMIC ECONOMIC SYSTEM

The system that have been introduced after the thorough research of several scholars and is purely based on the rationality and also justify the Shariah concept that has been given by Islam. A question comes in the mind regarding the authenticity of this Economic system as this has not been stated neither in Holy Quran nor in Sunnah. Likewise, there was also no authenticity of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) when he left to spread the Islam in MACCA. It was the rationality and believe that help the people to identify the messenger of Allah and also indentified them that P.B.U.H came here to preach the teaching of Islam. Islamic economic system based on three systems: Theory(Quran Sharif) , Interpretation (Hadith) , Practical (Shariah)

Islamic Economics based on certain concepts. Firstly, “ Resources are unlimited and Human efforts are limited ”. Air , water , minerals , hills they are all unlimited and now it is the responsibility of the humanity that how much he can avail these resources through his efforts and knowledge. Therefore it prohibits the Wastage of Resources.

Secondly, Savings, i.e. hoarding of money, is strictly prohibited by Islam. All wealth belongs to Almighty Allah and Man is the trustee of the wealth. Money should be circulated into the economics system for multiplication through justifiable and clean means. Islamic economic system identifies the process of circulation of money as it should be multiplied first through investment, then subtract the cost of investment & need, then divide it for the social causes, and add(invest) the remaining amount into circulation again.

Thirdly, Saving that leads to investment is the identification of a healthy nation. As when the savings has been invested it is benefited to the industries and then industries increased their production which increases the profitability of the industries which finally give rise to the employment which decreases the inflation rate in the economic system as Inflation is the burden on an economy.

Islamic Economic System clearly rejects the concept that are against the DEEN (ISLAM) . Firstly, Riba , i.e. earning on money through unjustifiable mean.It has been identified as a crime in Islamic Economic System. As Riba harms the humanity and it give rise to many other crimes like ,Bribery. Human are the creature of Almighty Allah and anything that effects humanity is prohibited by Islam.

Secondly, Interest is not permissible. Interest is Price of money and trading of money is not allowed by ISLAM. Therefore, Interest is defined in Islamic Economic system as shirk, and shirk is forbidden(sin) , and sin is unforgivable in Islam. As it has been generated artificially without been circulated in economic system which give rise to the Inflation in the economic system.

But, Profit that has been termed as RIB i.e. clean profit , is permissible by Islam .Any reasonable amount of money that has been earned through the circulation of money into the economic system by justifiable mean is termed as profit. As the multiplication of money is encouraged by islam as it leads to the betterment of the man kind so this clearly defines that a reasonable profit is allowed. An unreasonable profit eventually leads to Riba i.e.forbidden

Islamic Economics System has not been introduced for the Islamic countries only but it has been introduced for the economic system that believe in Clean profit and save themselves from Sins and Evil acts. Though the Islamic Economic system has not been followed properly by any country but many countries are now start adopting the system as their main economic system ,mostly Islamic countries.

Education is the most important factor for the progress of any nation. If we provide good and standard education than we can produce Good sports men, Good enterprenuer, Good journalists , Good Agriculturalsit, Good Scientist etc.

Now the question is how to give education and to whom it should be given?

The citizen Fondation (TCF) is working hard to promote the education in the country and establishing educational institutions all around the country.

FUNDS:

Fund raising is the main problem when any initiative is taken. Telethon is the reasonable way to raise the funds. This can be done with the collaboration with TCF so that strict survillence and check can be maintain in those education institutions.

TELETHON:

Telethon can be done with the help of any electronic media dat is involved in CSR activities (SAMAA , CNBC, GEO) and funds can be raised.

I can send u the proper format of how it is conducted and how it can be carried out on demand.

Intorduce a scheme ADOPT A CHILD .

Rs. 833/- per month on per student are the expenses that has been calculated by TCF . Which are approx 10,000/- a year on one student. Telenor can Introudce a scheme through which a person can adopt a child for their education of one year.

ADOPT A CHILD:

A telenor customer should recharge their account with the respective amount of donation and adopt a child. A telenor will thn use the money in the respective child FEES.

WHY TCF:

TCF is the renowned NGO working for the education in pakistan.. So people are having more faith on TCF thn TELENOR . so an element of trust will also be involved in this scheme and people will den be more willing to donate

Unjustice still prevails

The budget of Sindh that has been presented by the CM SINDH Qaim Ali Shah on Friday evening sounds to be a good budget, but only for the people connected with the profession of Police or Government employement . But the unjustice that is prevailing in our country since 62 years still prevails.

Firstly, a fund has been formulated with the name of Lyari development fund is a new of its kind. No fund has been made like this in previous government budgets. In other words, you can say that this amount has been provided to the supporters of the present Government i.e. Lyari

Secondly, the development fund for Kemari has also been allocated in the budget. Again this amount is allocated for the area that consists a great number of present government supporters .

Thirdly, the budget allocated to Larkana exceeds to the budget of Hyderabad. Though more development is needed in Hyderabad than Larkana. Again larkana is the headquarters of the current government .

It can clearly been seen that new funds have been allocated for the urban areas as the great number of the supporters of present government prevails in these areas ,whereas, in the rural areas there is a shortfall of the resepective supproters

Though Karachi is also given a large amount of fund and I am very thankful to the Chief Minister for this kind act. But I want to draw the attention of the respective authorities and the MPA’s of Sindh to kindly consider the facts and then allocate the budget to the areas where the development is more important and the state/province can be benefited by this development. Budget deficit to some extent is a good thing for the growing economy as it shows the development in the country whereas Budget surplus depicts that other way round.

DIVIDE THE FUND ON MERIT BASIS RATHER THAN TO BE BIASED..PLEASE!!

Student Diary!

Every thing that is even 1% negatively said with respect to Pakistan that motivates me to write for my blog and spread my message and views among my friends and blog followers. Today, 4th June 2010, I have a class of Managerial Communication in the morning.

We were going through the effectiveness of Communication in the professional life . As we reach that your attitude is also very important along with the communication skill in order to get success in the professional life, there it is mentioned that Smell and Taste are also the two components of your attitude. The instructor in a very friendly manner and having a kidding kind of expressions and said that in Pakistan if men uses the women sprays or deodorants no one can identify , But if this happens in USA the people can easily identify that which smell you are using.

So I thought to share this thing with you along with my views and reservations over this statement. First of all , It is right that the citizen of our country are not so brand conscious or most of them even do not use sprays as they cannot afford it. This might be the reason that they cannot identify. But the main thing I want to mention is that the states of European and American countries are covered by cold almost 80% of the year and there weather do not allow them to take showers for about 3 4 times ,as we used to take. This is the reason why those people use sprays and then obviously the spray or deodorants companies promote their product according and properly segmentized in those areas rather than to do it in Asian countries.

Due to the less number of showers they take may be in some 3 days or a week can throw them down like nothing if they do not use sprays there. So its essential for them to use that product . In this way they can obviously identify the brand or the fragrance one is using.

This statement do not hurt me in class. But this left some views in my mind so I thought to share them up with you.

GOOGLE LAUNCHES NEW IFONE

The Internet giant billed the touch-screen device, the culmination of collaboration with Taiwanese electronics titan HTC, a “superphone” that marked the next step in the evolution of its Android software.

“I think you will see it pushes the limits of what’s possible on a smart phone,” HTC chief executive Peter Chou said as the smartphone debuted at Google headquarters in Mountain View, California.

“It is very thin and feels good in your hand.”

Nexus One handsets are no thicker than pencils and no heavier than keychain Swiss Army knives, Google engineer Erick Tseng said while demonstrating one of the smartphones.

“It is a great marriage of form and function,” Tseng said.

Nexus One smartphones are built on the same Android 2.1 software that runs Droid smartphones that recently hit the market with innovations like 3D graphics, according to Tseng.

The handsets feature new speech command capabilities that allow users to speak emails, text messages or Internet search queries.

Nexus One devices can provide turn-by-turn spoken driving directions from a Google mapping program.

Google launched its own online store at google.com/phone where the Nexus One will be sold.

“This is really a Google phone,” said Interpret analyst Michael Gartenberg.

“A lot of the Android phones that came to market are kind of lackluster. One of the ways to avoid mediocrity is to kick things up a couple of notches yourself.”

Nexus One smartphones will be sold at the Google-hosted Web store for 529 dollars “unlocked,” without ties to a telecom carrier.

Nexus One handsets will be offered starting at 179 dollars if paired with T-Mobile service contracts in the United States.

Google has made “strategic partnerships” with telecom firm Verizon in the United States and Vodafone in Europe.

Nexus One devices linked to service from Verizon in the US and Vodafone in Europe should be available by mid-year, according to Google.

Google said it will ship Nexus One devices to buyers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Britain and the United States.

The smartphones are designed to work with a variety of telecom carrier networks.

“You can take out your SIM card from any provider and put it in the phone,” said Google vice president of product management Mario Queiroz.

The Internet search and advertising giant has a foothold in the market with its Android mobile operating system, featured in more than 20 phones since starting with T-Mobile’s G1 in October 2008.

“Google made it very clear that all Android devices are created equal, but some devices are created more equally than others,” Gartenberg said.

“They’ve raised the bar for their partners and they’ve tried to raise the bar for the ecosystem. They’ve clearly shown how they want to be a player.”

Analysts have expressed concern that Google’s move could irk partners backing handsets based on the Internet firm’s open-source Android software.

“I don’t see it as a threat,” said Sanjay Jha, chief of mobile devices at handset titan Motorola, which recently brought to market a Droid smartphone based on Android software.

“I think the Nexus One is a good phone. I think we will upgrade Droid to the software available on Nexus One.”

Chou and Jha said they support Google’s new phone and Web store as a “healthy” expansion of the mobile phone ecosystem.

Google executives sidestepped questions about whether the Nexus One is intended as an “iPhone killer,” but acknowledged it should prove a powerful competitor.

Like iPhones, Nexus One devices feature “accelerometer” capabilities allowing images or games on handsets to be controlled with twists or turns.

“The message isn’t to the iPhone specifically, it is to consumers,” said Google vice president of engineering Andy Rubin. “Choice is a good thing.”

Google has an online Android Marketplace stocked with about 20,000 functional or hip applications for smartphones running the software.

With a far greater stockpile of applications, Apple’s online App Store is considered among the reasons iPhones have become globally coveted devices.

Apple meanwhile announced that more than three billion mini-applications for iPhone and iPod Touch devices have been downloaded from the App Store in less than 18 months.

“We see no signs of the competition catching up any time soon,” Apple chief executive Steve Jobs said in a statement.

SC says NRO void to reopen all cases





Govt requests the apex court to nullify NRO
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) Thursday observed that it had no intention to derail the system, and stood by it in all respects, adding if NRO is declared null and void then all the cases will stand reopen automatically. This was observed by the 17-member larger bench of the SC during hearing of NRO-related cases here.
The court rejected the plea taken by Dr Farooq Ahsan, counsel for Qazi Hussain Ahmad, that President Asif Zardari be made respondent in this case, remarking that in his petition the President has not been made party while in other petitions President has been made party.
Abdul Hafeez Pirzada, counsel for Dr Mubashar Hassan; Ikram Chaudhry, counsel for Roedad Khan; and Dr Farooq Hassan, counsel for Qazi Hussain Ahmad completed their arguments.
Abdul Hafeez Pirzada argued NRO was legislation enacted against the Constitution. Therefore, it should not be considered law from the very first day as Constitution never permitted to enact such laws, he added. The cases against beneficiaries of NRO were still intact and if this Ordinance was declared unconstitutional then all the benefits sought under NRO would stand abolished.
Ikram Chaudhry said that NRO was not a national reconciliation but it was a deal struck between a dictator and a political party. It gave no relief to common man and it benefited only specific group, he contended. Justice Javed Iqbal observed it was not important during which regime the cases were instituted or quashed but the noteworthy point was this that the courts did not terminate these cases. Ikram Chaudhry said that the high commissioner who had obtained record in respect of Swiss accounts himself was beneficiary of NRO. Ikram Chaudhry said NAB had concealed the facts from the court. Correct record in respect of 8 persons has not been provided to the court. Rehman Malik had committed corruption of $1.5 million and not only Rs1.5 million. Farooq Hassan said temptation had been given for corruption through NRO. This ordinance was against the law and now the entire nation was looking forward to the court, he added. Kamal Azfar, counsel for Federation, said that NRO be kept confined to petition filed by Dr Mubashar Hassan. Several new points have emerged in the case. Therefore all other petitioners be allowed to file petitions and fresh notice be issued to Federation, he submitted. Earlier, Federal government filed a statement with the apex court requesting therein to accept the challenges against the NRO and declare it as ultra vires of the Constitution. Kerry Lugar bill

Do we really need money? It is the question of a common man. After having the opinion of several people the result is in negative for the above stated question and many people stated that there is no use for $ 1.5 bln every year. Then why to go for Kerry Lugar bill? The bill which is under process since 3 years when John kerry was in govt of the George W Bush is now about to be signed by the new presidency of the United states.
The bill contains many aspects which are against the soviegnty and dignity of our country, though , it is stated by the high officials of the Pakistani govt that the bill wont be accepted if it is against the soveignty of our country. Will it really be happen? Our finance minister stated that “ if the kerry lugar bill is rejected we have to go to IMF again for another aid”. But the thing to remember is that IMF wont give us any aid ,they will give us loan on interest which will also be the burden on our shattered economy. This might be a threat so that people might stop the protest against the K-L bill.

Mian Mansha stated that “If the govt. asked me I can bring $ 2 bln every year as an investment in the country -Sources” then why not the govt is asking from Mian Mansha to bring investment instead of going through the bill.

The main cons of the bill are relating

a) to the access to the armed forces and

b) to the nuclear power sector.

Are our army and nuclear power so cheap that we are giving these sectors on RENT to the foreigners in just $1.5bln every year which is approx $125mln per month. The very intresting thing to be noticed in this bill that the promotion of armed forces will also rest in the hands of US govt.

The bill also include the sections relating

a) war against terrorism

but we are already the alleged of Americans in the war against terrorism and we are already getting a handsome amount for this war.

Media only focusing on the negative aspects of Kerry Lugar bill and not focusing on the positive aspects of the bill. The positive aspects can only be covered if there are any positive thing for our country. The only benefit Pakistan is getting from accepting this bill is money that they will get as a rent of their important national assets. If we get an amount of $ 1.5 bln every year which is around 120 bln PKR.

The break-up off this aid will be

1) 60 bln PKR will be used as administrative expense and

2) the rest 60bln PKR will be injected in certain sectors.

If we convert it into monthly then it can clearly be seen that the country can only increase their revenue by 5 bln PKR per month.

A suggestion from a common man came for increasing the revenue by 5 bln pkr per month is that if we increase only 3.5 rupees on every recharge of RS.100 on our cell fones we can easily achieve target of the desired revenue. In my opinion, if we go to the privatization process of the educational institution we can get 550 bln PKR which is approx $4.75 bln* and it is equivalent to the aid of almost 3 years that we get from K-L bill . This is not enough but we can also raise the tax by Rs.50-60 bln every year in form of tax from those privatized institute.

The another option we can avail is to get aid from China as they are ready to invest a huge amount every year as an investment in our country. But the conflict that will arise by this step is that we already have lot of interference of US in our country so China and US both wont be agree to be together and help Pakistan. The thing that must be noted here that we cant leave US because it is the present super power off the world and we have to face many restriction on our foreign policy if we mess up with US.

From my view point the only useful thing we can do from this money is to repay our IMF loan because sooner or later we have to pay the amount to IMF or we can make agreement in K-L bill that all the conditions are accepted and they use their money to repay our IMF loan. It might be a better option. It is also been said that the bill might be accepted with certain amendments but whatever the amendments be made it will for sure be in favour of US because they are providing us with their money.. Mr.John Kerry in the press conference on 13^th oct 2009 clearly stated that “there will be no amendments in the bill”

There are only three options through which the bill can be rejected:

1) Mr.Barack obama himself refuse to sign and send it back to the house of representatives.

2) The house of representative rejects the bill

3) A new bill

But the question is Can Pakistan govt. reject this bill. Because if they Rejected the bill they have to face certain consequences . Some of the intresting and most important consequences are

·The cancellation of this bill can affect our resources.

·Pakistan will have to go to IMF for more assistance.

·Pakistan likely to face a budget deficit of $800 million, if bill not approved

·Affect the negotiations for market access to the EU and US markets (Both are major trading partners and nearly 70% of our trade is with these two players.)

·Bilateral and multilateral assistance would be hampered

·(US is the major shareholder in all these multi-donor agencies), The assistance policies of the multilateral-donors are largely influenced by the US.

·Pakistan’s ongoing economic diplomacy efforts, if further negative political, media & public stance on the Kerry-Lugar continue

And Pakistan cannot afford to have certain restriction at this stage. So can we say that we are bound to accept the bill with its unfair conditions?

All in all the Pakistan govt. is planning to sign the tenancy agreement (rental agreement) with US govt to access their armed forces and nuclear power.
